Accommodations - Choices

Upon Arrival to the Ottawa International Airport, students will be welcomed by Willis College Representatives with Mandarin service. They will escort the student to their choice of place of living.

Choice #1: Temporary Accommodation

For each 1 week the fee is $ 300

This Temporary Accommodations is available all-year round based on availability

• Full payment is required upon registration
• 1 week minimum stay, you can extend your stay once you arrive here
• Price may change without notice
• No Meals Included

This accommodation is the favorite choice for students. It is ideal for those students who wish to be part of the decision of choosing their own place. We will assist them in finding a suitable place or residency according to their budget and needs.

If you choose #1, then you do not need to pay for choices # 2 before you arrive in Canada.

Choice # 2: Apartment -1, 2 or 3 bedroom(s)

The monthly fee for a 2 bedroom apartment unfurnished within 30 minutes by public transportation will range around $ 300 - 500 per student.

Students, who wish to be part of the decision of choosing their own place, will be assisted by a Willis Representative in finding the 'right' fit for each student's individual needs.

Choice # 3: Homestay - Living with a family

The monthly fee will range from $ 650 - $800.

It is highly recommended that this choice is made 2 months prior to start date of program.

Homestay is an important part of your Canadian learning experience, and we take extra care in selecting our host families and placing you with a family which suits you.  Our families will include you as much as possible in their family life so that you can learn about Canadian culture while you continue to learn English outside of the classroom.  In some families, there may be more than one student, but not from the same language group.

Every home is thoroughly screened to ensure it is safe and comfortable and that families are properly prepared for welcoming students. When placements are made, student and family preferences are carefully considered to find the best possible match. Students are provided with private rooms and access to shared family space. They are included in family meals and activities as they choose.

With our Homestay program, you will be provided with the following:

• A private bedroom, furnished with a desk and study lamp.
• A meal plan to suit your needs (2 or 3 meals per day).
• Shared washroom and access to laundry facilities.
• A friendly atmosphere where you can practice speaking English.
• Accommodation which is within easy traveling distance to the school: 15 - 40 minutes by walking or public transportation.
• Add-on options include private bathroom, high speed internet access and cable TV in room.

If you stay with your host family over school breaks, a daily rate will be applied.  We need one month's notice if you plan to stay longer or to leave earlier than originally planned.
